About the course
The Safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values course is one of the most robust courses that we offer. It aims to keep all individuals safe in our society by preventing extremism, radicalisation, and implementing physical and online safeguarding measures to prevent any form of human abuse or exploitation.
In 2014, the UK Government created 5 fundamental values that it stated were unifying values that were fundamental to British society and cohesion. The 5 British Values are democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith. These values were designed to maintain a safe and secure society.
Safeguarding is a term used to describe measures that prevent exploitation and protect the health, well-being, and human rights of individuals, which allow people –especially young people and vulnerable adults –to live free from abuse, harm, and neglect.
In this course, learners will learn how to maintain a safe and secure society both at home and in the workplace.
A well-known case where radicalisation has been seen is Shamima Begum’s alignment with ISIS at the age of 15. This case made worldwide headlines due to the nature of the case and still, a verdict awaits. This course will equip learners on how to recognize and prevent this type of radicalisation from occurring in the future.
